Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

When you arrive in Kathmandu, RT personnel will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. You’ll have some free time to spend as you like. RT will serve you a welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 2 Climb briefing

You will receive a peak climbing briefing on this particular day, and team formation and climbing equipment preparation will also take place. You will get to know the expedition team members as well as the trek leaders.

Day 3 Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding

We will depart for Lukla early in the morning from Tribhuvan International Airport’s domestic terminal after breakfast. We touch down at Lukla’s Tenzing-Hillary Airport. Surrounded by mountains, it’s one of the world’s best aviation routes. We plan our trekking to Phakding here, where we also meet our trekking guides. Phakding to Lukla is a quick hike. You’ll explore the area and notice a neighbouring Phakding monastery. In Lukla, we will spend the night at a lodge.

Day 4 Phakding to Namche Bazaar

It’s a fascinating trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. To get to Namche Bazaar, we stroll beside the Dudh Koshi River and cross a lovely pine grove. You will have the opportunity to observe Mount Thamserku en route. If the weather is cooperative, you may also catch a good view of Mount Everest. Our stroll comes to a conclusion at Namche Bazaar’s Sagarmatha National Park gate. It serves as the entry point to both the major business district and Mount Everest. We will traverse five suspension bridges en route to Namche, the Hillary Suspension Bridge being one of them.

Day 5 Namche Bazaar (Acclimatization Day)

It’s a relaxation day today. Today, we’ll wander around and take in Namche Bazaar. You’ll get the opportunity to learn about Sherpa culture. Here, you can also visit a nearby museum. It provides you with a wealth of knowledge about the Sherpa people, their way of life, and Mount Everest. But if you’d rather take a somewhat longer walk, you can visit Khumjung village. From Namche Bazaar, it takes approximately six hours to go to this village. The Edmund Hillary School and Khumjung Monastery are located here. The head of the Yeti is renowned for living in this monastery.

Day 6 Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Our next stop after Namche Bazaar is Tengboche. Following breakfast, we make our way to Phunki. We move uphill towards Tengboche from Phunki. The biggest monastery in the Everest region is Tengboche Monastery, located in Tengboche. Near the centre of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sits Tengboche. A 360-degree view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku, is possible from this location. Tengboche is where we’ll stay the night.

Day 7 Tengboche to Dingboche

We are going to Dingboche next. We admire Tengboche and take pictures of its breathtaking scenery before starting our hike through forests of birch and rhododendron. We arrive at Debuche. Crossing the Imja River, we arrive at Pangboche. We go to the Monastery of Pangboche. We keep going and reach Imja Valley. We arrive at the Lobuche River’s confluence. Following a trail that descends, we ascend to Dingboche, our overnight destination.

Day 8 Dingboche (Acclimatization Day)

It’s a relaxation day today. Climbers frequently use Dingboche as a stoppage location. We trek to Chukkhung, Nagarjun Hill, or Ama Dablam base Camp on this day in order to see Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawache, and Ama Dablam. Overnight, we stay at Dingboche.

Day 9 Dingboche to Lobuche

We begin our walk towards Duglha after breakfast. We then follow a steep track to reach Chupki Lhara. An assortment of stones and prayer flags honouring American mountaineer Scott Fischer and Nepali mountain guide Babu Chiri Sherpa can be seen here. Sherpa had made ten ascents of Mount Everest. We finally arrive at Lobuche, our overnight destination.

Day 10 Lobuche to Everest Base Camp

We cross Gorak Shep Lake on our way to Everest Base Camp. We arrive at the memorial of Indian mountaineers. Since this is a difficult journey, we must follow our Sherpa. We continue to Everest Base Camp as we pass over streams, moraines, and stony dunes. From here, we can see views of Khhumbuste, Pumori, and Nuptse. We return to Gorak Shep for our evening rest.

Day 11 Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar

We set off early in the morning before dawn because this is a very lengthy walk. Everest, Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse will all tower to the east of us. Upon arriving to Kala Patthat, we have a 360-degree view of Mount Everest. We go back to Lobuche to spend the night.

Day 12 Lobuche to Lobuche West Base Camp

There is a steeper, rocky section of walking before reaching Lobuche Base Camp on a level plain. Here, we will be able to take in the splendour of the Himalayas, including Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pokalde, Thamserku, and Kantega. Our overnight stay will be in Lobuche West Base Camp.

Day 13 Lobuche West Base Camp to High Camp

We take a difficult moraine road from Lobuche Base Camp to Lobuche High Camp. While at High Camp, we have lunch and relax. We are getting ready for tomorrow’s peak climbing today. Our overnight stay will be in Lobuche West Camp.

Day 14 Lobuche West High Camp to Summit and back to High Camp

We get up early today, at two in the morning, and eat breakfast before starting our ascent. In order to avoid being caught by the strong wind that begins to blow at noon, we make this effort to reach the peak before noon. We’ll take some photos here and then return to High Camp later.

Day 15 Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche

We set out on our trek today to return to Lobuche via the way of Everest Base Camp. We eat our lunch here. We travel from Lobuche to Pheriche. Moving forward, we stroll in the direction of Pangboche. We’ll go through forests of juniper and rhododendron as we descend. We can visit the Pangboche Monastery once we get in Pangboche.

Day 16 Pangboche to Namche Bazaar

We continue on the same route, descending to the Imja River and ascending to Tengboch, our lunch stop. We arrive in Sansa after walking gently and across the Dudh Koshi River. On the way, if we’re lucky, we might also spot mountain goats and snow leopards. We arrive at Namche Bazaar, our overnight destination, at last.

Day 17 Namche Bazaar to Lukla

The trail descends sharply from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. After passing across a few suspension bridges, we arrive in Lukla, where we will spend the night.

Day 18 Fly to Kathmandu

We take an early flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. While in Kathmandu, you are free to explore the city or rest. RT will provide you with a farewell dinner in the evening.

Day 19 Final Departure

As you pack your bags and head to your destination, your voyage comes to an end today. We’ll drop you off to the airport by our team.

Trip Overview

Lobuche West Peak Climbing

Situated in the Khumbu Himalayan range of the Everest region, climbing Lobuche West Peak is one of the most popular and difficult trekking peaks in Nepal. Compared to Lobuche East peak, the top of Lobuche West peak is thought to be more visually appealing, difficult, and technically demanding. At 6,145 metres above sea level, it is also higher than the eastern portion. Because reaching the Western Peak needed an expedition permission, trekkers, mountaineers, climbers, and the like were only permitted to ascend the Lobuche East Peak. However, the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has opened Lobuche West Peak to all amateur trekkers, mountaineers, and climbers who are looking for strenuous and hard routes leading to Nepal.

When compared to other hiking peaks, Lobuche West Peak will be your most unforgettable climbing experience of a lifetime, offering you breathtakingly gorgeous scenery beneath the shadow of Everest. After taking a plane from Kathmandu to Lukla, we begin our journey, passing via Namche Bazar, Gokyo Lake, and the renowned high pass Cho La, which provides a chance to improve your level of fitness and acclimatise yourself before beginning the ascent of Lobuche West Peak.

The path offers breathtaking panoramas and vistas that reenergize us to continue our journey. The trek carried on to the Everest Base Camp and the breathtaking Everest vista. An added bonus to the trip is the massive Khumbu Glacier, which provides an amazing view of the surrounding exotic and rare flora and fauna. Climbing Lobuche Peak offers stunning views of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest (8848 m), as well as Mt. Lhotse (8516 m), Mt. Makalu (8463 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8201 m), and more than two dozen other Himalayan peaks accessible via mountaineering or trekking routes. Additionally, you will go through the stunning Sherpa villages, where you may explore and become acquainted with their unique customs, culture, and way of life.

Climbers need to be proficient mountaineering and have expertise using equipment and tools when climbing in order for their expedition to be successful. Although Lobuche West Peak is best climbed in the autumn and spring, RT can create a personalised Nepal peak climbing service based on the needs and schedules of individual mountaineers.

Lobuche West Peak Climbing - 19 Days
