From Kathmandu, it takes about seven hours to go to Arughat. The first portion of the trip is uneventful as we go on a highway. But the route is difficult from Gorkha. After a little nap, we set out on our trail from Arughat. We start out by strolling through rice paddies and verdant valleys. We descend to the confluence of the Budi Gandaki and Sundi kholas after following the Budi Gandaki khola (River), crossing the Kyoropani. Take a cool swim and spend the night camping here. Spend the night in Soti Khola.
The path becomes narrower as it passes past hillsides covered in thick forest, some of which are home to little abandoned settlements. Walk along the narrow, sandy route that leads to Machha Khola (Fish Stream) as you pass Lapbesi town and descend into the steep valley sides. We set up a camp for the night at the neighbouring Maccha Khola.
We cross Maccha Khola today and proceed upstream in the direction of Khola Bensi. After taking a soak in the hot spring, explore the craggy valley walls.
The trail follows a path through the forest, stopping at Doban for a cup of tea. From there, it continues to Lauri, where a suspension bridge allows us to cross back to the right bank of the river. You will be greeted with Jagat’s field and a short ascent upon arriving at your overnight camp.
As we move from Jagat to Deng. The hike to Deng village, which consists of only four dwellings, takes around seven hours. From Jagat, we make our way down stone steps that go to the river. From there, we climb Saguleri, a terraced hillside, and stop for a while to take in the unique view of the Sringi Himal (7187m). Then, after a few more river crossings, we hike up to Deng, where we spend the night camped.
The path we take is first level, but after a while it starts to climb, taking us all the way to Namrung. We stroll across a woodland. At Namrung, there are amazing views of the lush valley, ridges, and Mount Manaslu. There are monasteries, mani walls, chortens, and prayer flags flying in the sky, all characteristic of this Buddhist community. Spend the night in Namrung.
From Namrung, you will go through Banjam, Lihi, Sho, Lho, and Sayla before arriving at Samagaun. You will pass a monastery on the route that is known as the best in the area before you get to Lho. There are around 200 monks studying in this monastery, all of them are male. Walking up the steep trail towards Lihi, you can see the north Himchuli, the Naike mountain on the right, and the Ganesh Himal on the left. As we proceed in the direction of Sho, we come across two paths in the corner: one leads to the Hinayang monastery, and the other to the Manaslu Larkya Pass. It takes one hour and thirty minutes to get from Sho to Lho, and it takes two hours to trek to Sayla from Lho. It will take one hour to get to Samagaun from Sayla. You may see a broad view of Nike Peak, Saula Himal, Siringi Himal, Nike Peak, north Manaslu, and Nadi Chuli Manaslu from the Syala. Genuine yak views are also rather satisfying. It is the largest settlement, having come from Tibet about 200 years ago. It is a well-known location for trade and the path leading to Manaslu Base Camp.
You will arrive at the goal after three hours of hiking on the steep climb (approximately fifteen minutes) and flat terrain. Views of Syaula Peak, Naike Peak, Manaslu, Himchuli, Larke Peak, and Cho Peak are available along the route. The north and west Himchuli contribute the extra spark. It is the 3800-meter-high little, newly established community. The area has its own micro hydropower project, which provides electricity to the location. The route to get there is easy and only requires a short, steep walk of a few minutes.
We begin our excursion in the morning with a walk uphill to the Budhi Gandaki River. After crossing the river, we march upward once again via the Valley of Salka Khola and Larkya Bazaar towards Dharmasala, which is basically a simple spot to spend the night rather than a lodge. On a typical day, it will take approximately 4 hours to travel the 7 kilometres. The likelihood of seeing blue sheep is great. Larke Phedi is another name for this location. Spend the night in the Dharmasala.
Today, we travel northward to the point where the Larkya glacier’s face provides us with views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. We then start climbing the trail to go to Larkya La Pass. The highest point of our whole journey, it’s the ideal spot to take in the splendour of Nepal, highlighted by the peaks of Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, Kangguru, and the towering Annapurna II (7,937m). We can see Bhimthang ahead of us on the steep descent. Today’s walk is somewhat longer because we need to cover a little more ground to get to Bimtang, where we will spend the night.
Our path falls to Dudh Khola today. We travel through a forest of rhododendron and pine to Dharapani, where we spend the night.
We take a jeep from Dharapani and travel to Besisahar. Once more, we go along the Marsyagdi River’s bank from Besisahar to Kathmandu. RT will give you a farewell supper when you arrive in Kathmandu.

Natural scenery, high glacier lakes, fascinating flora, and fauna, and majestic Himalayan ranges make the trail the most an event of life.
After trekking, you will find a new individual in you who has a different leadership quality.
The Manaslu Express Trek path opens doors to numerous dispersed settlements throughout the area where various ethnic groups coexist together. The Manaslu trekking experience is enhanced by meetings with yaks while passing the trail and by landslides and falls.
The Manaslu Express Trek is situated in the district of Gorkha. In 1991, the Nepali government issued a trekking permit for the Manaslu area. The 10-day Manaslu Circuit Short Trek Package follows the same historic path along the Budi Gandaki River that was once utilised by locals to trade salt. Along the way, one can see more than ten peaks rising beyond 6,500 metres, while a couple surpass 7,000 metres.
For individuals who have limited time but yet want to have an amazing time on the Manaslu circuit trek, there is a 10-day Manaslu short trip that is specifically designed for them. You pass over ten peaks rising above 6,500 metres and a couple beyond 7,000 metres on the way to the trip. Despite the limited time you have made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience, this walk brings you closer to the mountains.
As per the Immigration regulations of Nepal, in order to obtain an immigration permission for trekking in restricted areas, like the Manaslu short trek, at least two foreign individuals must be present. However, if you are willing to pay for a restricted permit for two people—you and the other person—our firm, RT, can easily issue the permit.
We can also set up a permit for group sharing to save the additional expense. If the above dates don’t work for you, you can still ask us about availability or select our fixed departure trip option.
It will take us a full working day (Sunday through Friday) following your arrival to obtain this permit. Therefore, in order for us to quickly obtain your permissions, you should schedule this trek in Nepal as soon as possible and notify us of your arrival on a working day.
There will be one leader and one Sherpa porter (one porter for every two trekkers) during the Manaslu Trek, except Base Camp. The purpose of this structure is to ensure that the campaign runs smoothly. It guarantees that, should anyone in the group become unwell, the tour will proceed according to schedule. This hike can be led by RT for any size group. However, twelve people is seen to be the ideal group size. But RT can also set this up if you have a group larger than twelve.
We will stay at local tea houses for nine nights while on our trek. For this trek, all lodging will be shared by twins. Single rooms, however, can also be provided upon request for an extra $290 US. However, certain locations in this area do not permit single occupancy.
We will have a variety of ethnic meals, including Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian cuisines, as well as traditional Nepali cuisine throughout our Manaslu Trek Excluding Base Camp. You can also indulge in a range of nibbles, hot chocolates, and breads and drinks.
According to its menu, breakfast will be provided in the same tea house or lodge where we spent the night. Dinner will be served in the tea house where you spend the night, and lunch will be served the route to your destination. During our time in Kathmandu, we will be offered breakfasts, a welcome dinner, and a farewell meal.
