When you arrive in Kathmandu, RT personnel will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. You’ll have some free time to spend as you like. RT will serve you a welcome dinner in the evening.
We will depart for Lukla early in the morning from Tribhuvan International Airport’s domestic terminal after breakfast. We touch down at Lukla’s Tenzing-Hillary Airport. Surrounded by mountains, it’s one of the world’s best aviation routes. We plan our trekking to Phakding here, where we also meet our trekking guides. Phakding to Lukla is a quick hike. You’ll explore the area and notice a neighbouring Phakding monastery. In Lukla, we will spend the night at a lodge.
It’s a fascinating trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. To get to Namche Bazaar, we stroll beside the Dudh Koshi River and cross a lovely pine grove. You will have the opportunity to observe Mount Thamserku en route. If the weather is cooperative, you may also catch a good view of Mount Everest. Our stroll comes to a conclusion at Namche Bazaar’s Sagarmatha National Park gate. It serves as the entry point to both the major business district and Mount Everest. We will traverse five suspension bridges en route to Namche, the Hillary Suspension Bridge being one of them.
It’s a relaxation day today. Today, we’ll wander around and take in Namche Bazaar. You’ll get the opportunity to learn about Sherpa culture. Here, you can also visit a nearby museum. It provides you with a wealth of knowledge about the Sherpa people, their way of life, and Mount Everest. But if you’d rather take a somewhat longer walk, you can visit Khumjung village. From Namche Bazaar, it takes approximately six hours to go to this village. The Edmund Hillary School and Khumjung Monastery are located here. The head of the Yeti is renowned for living in this monastery.
Our next stop after Namche Bazaar is Tengboche. Following breakfast, we make our way to Phunki. We move uphill towards Tengboche from Phunki. The biggest monastery in the Everest region is Tengboche Monastery, located in Tengboche.Near the centre of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sits Tengboche. A 360-degree view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku, is possible from this location. Tengboche is where we’ll stay the night.
On this particular day, our course starts with a descent that lasts for about 30 minutes, during which we traverse rivers and woodlands and ascend a hill for a while. We pass via Pangboche, a picturesque Sherpa village, before arriving in Pheriche. Our overnight stay will be at Pheriche.
Our next stop is Lobuche, and we set off for there after breakfast in order to arrive at Duglha, which is our immediate destination from Pheriche. We then follow a steep track to reach Chupki Lhara. An assortment of stones and prayer flags honouring American mountaineer Scott Fischer and Nepali mountain guide Babu Chiri Sherpa can be seen here. Sherpa had made ten ascents of Mount Everest. We finally arrive at Lobuche, our overnight destination.
We cross Gorak Shep Lake on our way to Everest Base Camp. We arrive at the memorial of Indian mountaineers. Since this is a difficult journey, we must follow our Sherpa. We continue to Everest Base Camp as we pass over streams, moraines, and stony dunes. From here, we can see views of Khhumbuste, Pumori, and Nuptse. We return to Gorak Shep for our evening rest.
We set off early in the morning before dawn because this is a very lengthy walk. Everest, Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse will all tower to the east of us. Upon arriving to Kala Patthat, we have a 360-degree view of Mount Everest. We go back to Lobuche to spend the night.
Today, we go through Khumbu Glacier to Kongma La Base Camp. We then descend to Chhukung and the Imja River from here. We will inspect our climbing gear in Chhukung, a tiny town, in preparation for our climbing adventure tomorrow. We stay the night in Chhukung.
We’re moving on from Chhukung today, towards the Island Peak Base Camp. This is the beginning of our climbing expedition! We’ll stroll across breathtaking alpine landscape, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
We will recover and prepare for the upcoming strenuous climb once we reach the Island Peak Base Camp. We’ll eat a delicious dinner and take in the breathtaking view of the stars in the sky in the evening. We’re excited for further adventures and will continue our ascent towards the summit of Island Peak tomorrow!
In order to prepare for the hike to Base Camp, you’ll get up early and have a hearty meal. Reaching 5,100 metres is a leisurely ascent, so take your time and savour the breathtaking scenery as you go. You’ll take a little nap after you get to Base Camp before beginning your training. By practicing climbing techniques and exploring the surrounding region, this training aids in your preparation for the upcoming climb. Unwind in Base Camp after a long day, enjoy a delicious dinner, and get a good night’s sleep. It’s another big day tomorrow!
Today is an important day in our island peak climbing and Everest Base Camp hiking journey as we ascend to High Camp, which is located at 5,500 metres (18,040 feet). Trekking usually takes three to four hours, starting early in the morning to make the most of the daylight hours. We may maybe come across wildlife among the untamed landscape as we go, along with spectacular views of sweeping valleys and high peaks. We’ll give rest and acclimatisation top priority when we get to High Camp to make sure our bodies adjust to the altitude safely. We’ll refuel with a substantial dinner as dusk draws near and then get a good night’s sleep to prepare for the trials that lie tomorrow.
We get up early today, at two in the morning, and eat breakfast before starting our ascent. In order to avoid being caught by the strong wind that begins to blow at noon, we make this effort to reach the peak before noon. The path up Island Peak at first quite sandy and steep, then it becomes grassy and eventually leads to boulder-strewn terrain. The slope narrows as we proceed, leading to a sharp rock channel. In certain locations, we require ropes that are fastened by our guides. We take pictures once we reach the summit and then relax and enjoy the journey for a while. After our good night, we return to the Chuukung.
Today, we follow the same path back, descending down the Khumbu River. Along the route, we will pass by the picturesque Sherpa villages of Orsho and Shomare. We might take a different way to reach the Gompa, which is situated at Upper Pangboche. This monastery is thought to be the earliest sacred Buddhist shrine in the Khumbu area. We’ll reach Pangboche village via the standard route. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtaiga, Kongde, and the Imja Tse River around this lovely settlement. We intend to spend the night at Pangboche.
We continue on the same route, descending to the Imja River and ascending to Tengboch, our lunch stop. We arrive in Sansa after walking gently and across the Dudh Koshi River. On the way, if we’re lucky, we might also spot mountain goats and snow leopards. We arrive at Namche Bazaar, our overnight destination, at last.
The trail descends sharply from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. After passing across a few suspension bridges, we arrive in Lukla, where we will spend the night.
We take an early flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. While in Kathmandu, you are free to explore the city or rest. RT will provide you with a farewell dinner in the evening.

The most popular trekking mountain in Nepal is Island mountain. Climbing an island mountain beside Everest base camp is an amazing and thrilling adventure. Island Peak is known locally as Imja Tse. It is a solitary peak located at an elevation of 6189 metres (20,305 feet) above sea level in the Chhukung valley. Situated between the Imja and Mount Lhotse glaciers, this mountain is actually an extension of Mount Lhotse Shar. There is one exposed, steep 100-meter ice or snow climb, and one easy snow climb. The enormous south face of Mt. Lhotse (8,501 m), Nuptse (7,879 m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410 m), and Lhotse Shar (8,383 m) in the north, Mt. Makalu (8475 m), and Mt. Amadablam (685 6 m) in the east, as well as a breathtaking panoramic view of the Khumbu region and Chhukung valley, can all be seen from this peak as you ascend.
After leaving Kathmandu with the appropriate permit, the journey begins with a quick flight to Lukla. From there, it continues higher to the charming villages of Namche-Thyangboche-Pheriche, where you may see monasteries and learn about the fascinating Buddhist lifestyles of the Sherpa people. After that, we walk first to Kalapathar and Everest Base Camp before continuing on to the Chhukung Valley and beginning our excursion or climbing. It is not required to have formal or highly experienced climbing training in order to climb this peak. Any hiker in decent physical condition can complete the task with ease and success. Before the ascent, this amazing journey includes a visit to Kalapatthar and Everest Base Camp, providing us adequate acclimatisation and many rest days for preparation.
Strong mountaineering abilities are essential for climbers to have a successful summit excursion. Although autumn and spring are often the optimum seasons to climb this peak, RT Adventure can create a personalised Nepal peak climbing service based on the needs and schedules of individual mountaineers.
There will be one leader and one Sherpa porter (one porter for every two guests) for every peak. The purpose of this structure is to ensure that the campaign runs smoothly. It guarantees that, should anyone in the group become unwell, the tour will proceed according to schedule. This hike can be led by RT for any size group. However, ten people is seen to be the ideal group size. But, RT can also set this up if your group numbers more than ten.
