As you arrive at Paro, take in the breathtaking views of the lush green Paro valley and the world’s highest peak. As soon as you descend into Bhutan, you are greeted with the country’s crisp, chilly air. You meet your representatives and the Bhutanese guide following the customs and VISA procedures. A quick introduction to the tour will be given to you. Following your lunch transportation to Paro Town, you will have a drive to Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan. After a full day of driving, you will arrive in Thimpu. While traveling to Thimpu, you can take quick walks to the Tamchong monastery, a private temple owned by the sons of well-known Tibetan bridge builder Thangthong Gaylpo. Then, you can drive on to Thimpu.
You may get a beautiful view of Takin Complex and Thimpu City by going to Buddha Point. The Takin, Bhutan’s national animal, resides at the location of the transit to the Thimpu viewpoint. After that, proceed to the Centenary Farmers Market, the Folk Heritage Museum, and Tashi Choe Dzong. The Folk Heritage Museum is a 300-year-old house that has been transformed into a museum, and Tashi Choe Dzong is the fortification that was first constructed in 1641 and reconstructed by King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk in the 1960s. Stay the night at the lodging.
We leave for Punakha early in the morning and go via the 3,140-meter Dochu La Pass for almost three hours. You will have a stunning view of the Eastern Himalayas if the weather is clear. We continue downward from the pass and eventually come to a stop when we arrive in the incredibly upscale valley of Punakha. Along the way, you can take a quick stroll through the picturesque rice field to reach Chimmi Lhakhang. Drukpa Kuenley, dubbed “the Divine Madman,” is worshipped at the temple called Chimmi Lhakhang. Located at the confluence of the Pho-chu (Male River) and Mo-chu (Female River), Punakha Dzong is the cutest dzong in the nation. We will visit it in the afternoon.
On this day, after an early breakfast, we depart Punakha for Paro, once more across the Dochula Pass. We have lunch at Thimpu. A quick trek to the 15th-century Zurig Lhakhang, located above Paro Dzong, awaits arrival in Paro. Ta Dzong, or the watch tower, and Paro Rinpung Dzong, often known as “the fortress of the heap of jewels,” are both beautifully visible from there. Quick descent leads to a covered cantilever bridge that is accompanied by enormous stupas. Spend the night in the hotel.
We depart early in the morning on an expedition to the Taktshang monastery. At a height of 2950 meters above sea level, the monastery is perched atop a sheer rock. It explains every engineering decision. The trip to the monastery takes about 2.5 hours. Although it will cost extra, a pony ride can also be scheduled to go to the monastery. One of the best opportunities to interact with locals and learn about their customs and way of life is to visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Spend the night at the hotel.
This is the last day of your Bhutan Encompassed Trek. Thus, you will go from this fabled Dragon Kingdom after eating breakfast. You will receive assistance from your representative in finishing the leaving procedures. After that, it’s a final farewell as you take off for your home.
