Your adventure begins with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest and recover from your journey, and in the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow trekkers, where you can discuss the upcoming adventure and get to know each other.
Early in the morning, take a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. The flight offers stunning views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival in Lukla, meet your trekking crew and begin your trek to Phakding, a small village situated on the banks of the Dudh Kosi River. The trail is relatively easy, allowing you to acclimate to the altitude.
After breakfast, continue your trek along the Dudh Kosi River, crossing suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. The trail ascends through pine forests and small Sherpa villages, offering glimpses of the majestic peaks. Arrive in Namche Bazaar, the bustling market town and gateway to the high Himalayas. Namche is a hub for trekkers and climbers, with shops, cafes, and local markets.
Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude. Take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Namche Monastery. This day is crucial for adjusting to the thinner air and preventing altitude sickness.
Resume your trek with a gradual climb to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. The trail offers spectacular views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Tengboche Monastery is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region and a spiritual center for the Sherpa people. Spend the evening exploring the monastery and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.
Descend through rhododendron forests and cross the Imja Khola before climbing up to the village of Dingboche. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Dingboche is a picturesque village with stone-walled fields and is a popular stop for trekkers.
Spend another day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Take a hike to Nagarjun Hill for panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawache, and Ama Dablam. Return to Dingboche for a restful afternoon and evening, preparing for the higher altitudes to come.
Continue your trek through alpine meadows and past stone memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The trail becomes more rugged as you approach Lobuche, a small settlement nestled among the peaks. The air grows thinner, and the landscape becomes more barren, adding to the sense of adventure.
Today is one of the most exciting days of the trek. Start early and trek to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. After a brief rest and lunch, continue to Everest Base Camp, where you can stand at the foot of the world’s highest peak. The base camp offers a surreal landscape of ice and snow, with views of the Khumbu Icefall. Return to Gorak Shep for the night.
Wake up early to hike to Kala Patthar, a viewpoint offering the best panoramic views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. The sunrise over Everest is a sight to behold. After soaking in the views, descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then continue your trek down to Pheriche. The descent is easier, allowing you to breathe more comfortably as you lose altitude.
Retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar, enjoying the changing scenery as you descend. The return journey offers a different perspective, and you can appreciate the beauty of the Khumbu region from a new angle. Arrive in Namche Bazaar for a well-deserved rest.
Continue your descent to Lukla, passing through familiar villages and crossing suspension bridges. Celebrate the completion of your trek with your team, sharing stories and experiences of the journey. Spend your final night in the Everest region in Lukla.
Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a free day to relax, explore the city, or do some last-minute shopping. In the evening, join your group for a farewell dinner, celebrating the successful completion of the trek.
Spend a leisurely day in Kathmandu, exploring its historical sites, markets, and restaurants. Visit the famous Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), or simply relax at your hotel. This day is reserved as a buffer in case of any flight delays from Lukla.
After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight. Reflect on the incredible journey and the memories created during your Everest Base Camp Trek.
