Your adventure begins with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the vibrant city or resting after your journey. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and meet your fellow trekkers.
Early in the morning, drive to Besi Sahar, the starting point of your trek. The drive offers scenic views of the countryside, with terraced fields and traditional villages. From Besi Sahar, start trekking to Bhulbhule, a beautiful village by the Marsyangdi River. The trail is relatively easy and provides a good introduction to the trek.
After breakfast, continue your trek along the Marsyangdi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing through picturesque villages. The trail ascends and descends through forests and farmland, offering stunning views of waterfalls and distant peaks. Arrive in Chamje, a small village nestled in a lush valley.
Today’s trek takes you through dense forests of rhododendron and oak, with occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks. Cross several suspension bridges and climb steep sections to reach Bagarchhap, a village with traditional stone houses and a Tibetan Buddhist influence.
Continue your trek through a narrow, forested valley, with the Marsyangdi River roaring below. Pass through the villages of Timang and Thanchowk, where you can see the local way of life and enjoy breathtaking views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II. Arrive in Chame, the district headquarters of Manang, with hot springs to relax in.
The trail today takes you through forests and along rocky paths, with spectacular views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak. Pass through the villages of Bhratang and Dhukur Pokhari before reaching the lower and upper villages of Pisang. Enjoy panoramic views of the Annapurna range from Upper Pisang.
Trek through a dry, arid region with a dramatic change in scenery. The trail ascends and descends, offering views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges. Pass through the villages of Ghyaru and Ngawal, and visit the Braga Monastery before reaching Manang, a large village with stunning mountain views.
Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Take a short hike to the Gangapurna Lake or the Bhojo Gompa for panoramic views of the Annapurna range. Visit the Himalayan Rescue Association clinic for a talk on altitude sickness and tips for a safe trek.
Resume your trek with a gradual climb through alpine meadows and pastures, where you might see yaks grazing. The trail ascends to Yak Kharka, a small settlement with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. This day is crucial for acclimatization as you gain more altitude.
Continue trekking through high altitude terrain, with a steep climb to Thorong Phedi, the base camp for the Thorong La Pass. The landscape becomes more barren, with rocky paths and glacial streams. Rest and prepare for the challenging pass crossing the next day.
Start early to cross the Thorong La Pass (5,416 meters), the highest point of the trek. The ascent is challenging but rewarding, with breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After reaching the pass, descend to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists.
Descend through the arid landscape of the Kali Gandaki Valley, passing through the village of Kagbeni. The trail follows the Kali Gandaki River to Jomsom, a bustling town with an airport and a gateway to the Mustang region. Celebrate the completion of the high-altitude trek with your team.
Take a short, scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Explore the vibrant city, relax by the lake, or indulge in some adventure activities like paragliding or boating.
Spend a leisurely day exploring Pokhara. Visit the Peace Pagoda, Devi’s Fall, and the International Mountain Museum. Stroll along the lakeside, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. This day is also a buffer in case of any flight delays from Jomsom.
