Day 1 Fly to Lukla and hike to Phakding. (3-4 hours)

Located atop a hill, the Lukla Airport features a lone landing strip that descends into a vast valley. The path is encircled by stunning hills, resembling a large bundle of emeralds, because of the land formations.

The Cheplung village offers a breathtaking sight of the revered Mount Khumbila. Our official adventure commences following a relaxed morning tea at your Kathmandu hotel.

Transportation will be provided to take us to Tribhuvan International Airport, from where we will catch a brief flight to Lukla, a village in the mountains.

Despite the brief duration of your time in the sky, the mountainous scenery visible from your airplane seat will ensure that this flight becomes a top favorite of yours.

After we land, we will meet up with our group and begin our journey on the Everest Base Camp Trek.

In just around four hours of hiking, we are expected to reach the small village of Phakding, where we plan to stay for the day. Once we have adjusted to our new surroundings, we will be residing in a hotel located in Phakding.

Day 2 Trek to Namche Bazaar (5-6 hours)

Today we will wake up early and have a substantial breakfast at our accommodation. Because we will be walking for about six hours today, make sure to have a second serving.

Our second day of the brief Everest Base Camp Trek begins with a walk through a lush paradise of refreshing, shady forests and concealed waterfalls.

We will journey across beautiful suspension bridges that cross the Dudh Koshi River and admire the stunning Thamserku peak (6,608 meters) among the tallest Himalayan mountains.

Next, our path leads us into Sagarmatha National Park, a large, stunning natural reserve named after Mount Everest in the Sanskrit language.

Following lunch, we will cross additional footbridges before finally seeing Mount Everest.

One can see Namche Bazaar, a busy city, nearby from this location. Seeking accommodation in Namche Bazaar for tonight.

Day 3 Acclimatization Day (3/4 hours)

Namche is the perfect spot for getting used to high altitudes. The sights in Namche are spectacular.

After having breakfast, you will visit the Syangboche Airstrip. It has a hilltop location with views over the town.

Here, you can witness the stunning Himalayan spectacle and appreciate Namche’s sweeping vista.

Mount Everest, Thamserku, Amadablam, and Nuptse appear much nearer from similar viewpoints.

Throughout the day, you have the opportunity to explore the Sherpa Culture Museum, National Park Museum, Khumjung Monastery, and the Everest Photo Gallery before staying overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4 Trek to Tengboche (5-6 hours)

A simple hike starting from Namche leads to the Phungki Thanka formation in the Dudh Koshi Valley post the suspension bridge.

You have the opportunity to admire a stunning panorama of Mount Everest and its nearby areas.

To reach Tengboche, you can take the path that runs alongside the Dudh Koshi River.

While journeying from Namche to Tengboche, you will have the opportunity to witness a stunning landscape of Rivers, Rhododendron woods, and the Himalayan peaks.

Tengboche Monastery, the highest monastery in the Khumbu region, is also a significant highlight on the brief hike to Everest Base Camp.

Day 5 Trek to Dingboche (4 hours)

During our 5th day of the brief Everest Base Camp Trek, we journey through the villages of Pangboche, Somare, and Dibuche.

As we trek through a beautiful, green jungle, we are surrounded by huge white cliffs such as Lhotse and AmaDablam that dominate the landscape, and we cross a long suspension bridge over the shimmering waters of the Imjakhola River.

As we approach Dingboche, we will observe numerous Mani rocks laid out along the snowmobile routes. You must never pass these rocks adorned with Buddhist mantras without keeping them on your right side.

We will traverse a large expanse of vibrant vegetation where crops like grain and potatoes are cultivated before arriving at Dingboche. Here, we’ll select a comfortable small hotel for our next two nights of accommodation.

Day 6 Adjustment in Dingboche ( 4 hours)

During our condensed Everest Base Camp Trek schedule, our bodies still require a day for adjusting to the increased altitude.

The common saying among trekkers is “ascend to higher altitudes during the day, then sleep at lower altitudes at night.” This enables us to access the stunning views of Nangkar Tshang Peak (5616m) or Chukhung Village safely before heading back to Dingboche later in the afternoon.

Certain day hikes provide stunning views of the Himalayan mountains Makalu, Lhotse, AmaDablam, and other unnamed peaks.

It would be ideal to pick up a snack tonight at one of the city’s butcher shops or cafes. You will always remember the great experience of watching the sun go down behind the rock terraces in Dingboche and the windy peaks of the mountain ranges. Stay at Dingboche for the night.

Day 7 Trek to Lobuche ( 5 hours)

When you depart Dingboche and trek through Dhung-La, you will catch sight of Pheriche village from a higher vantage point.

Next, reach The ChupkiLhara, a rocky sloping region. You are able to see some astonishing peaks from this location. Afterward, the trail leads to the Khumbu Glacier moraine.

Continuing its journey, Mount Nuptse pushes forward after the glacier. We arrive at Dhuk-La Pass and Lobuche for an overnight stay.

Day 8 Trek to Base Camp and back to GorakShep. (6-7 hours)

The journey to Everest Base Camp starts with a leisurely stroll to avoid altitude sickness. From Lobuche, the Khumbu Glacier, the tallest mountain in the world, is visible.

Following hours of trekking from Lobuche, we arrive at Gorakshep, a peaceful spot with various lodging options. Next, we arrive at the Everest Base Camp, which is where our journey ends. The day is a thrilling day for our set objective.

The view of the Khumbu Icefall, Khumbutse, and Lingtren peaks from this vantage point is absolutely stunning. Following a period at the base camp, we went back to Gorakshep; the elevation of Everest Base Camp is 5364 meters.

We appreciated the beautiful surroundings and peaceful ambiance. Spending the night in Gorakshep.

Day 9 Trek to Periche (5-6 hours)

Another thrilling aspect of the journey is the trek to Kalapathar. Located at an elevation of 5555 meters above sea level, this famous viewpoint offers breathtaking panoramic vistas of Mount Everest and several other peaks.

All people climb to the summit of Kalapathar for the best views of the sunrise over the Himalayas. When the sun ascends above Mount Everest, the silver peaks transform into gold.

Once you have finished exploring the Viewpoint, head down to Gorakshep, enjoy a hot breakfast, and make your way back to Lobuche. We will eat lunch and then proceed with the descent to Pheriche, where we will stay overnight.

Day 10 Trek to Namche (5-6 hours)

The village of Pheriche lies within a valley nestled in the gorge. The temperature has dropped slightly, and the sun rises later.

Let’s grab breakfast at the hotel before setting off to Namche Bazaar via the small trail for our trek.

The path back to Namche Bazaar from Tengboche traces the Imja River once again. We will go down to Phungki Thanka from Tengboche, pass through Kyangjuma, and then continue on to Namche.

It is a peaceful trek where you can admire the breathtaking scenery of the area and the Himalayan Mountains. Spending the night in Namche Bazaar.
