Additionally, trekkers will have the chance to explore a historical temple that is listed among UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

The Chisapani Trekking itinerary is a well-planned route that combines the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Shivapuri National Park. The trek begins at Sundarijal, a short drive from Kathmandu, and takes participants through a series of picturesque landscapes and vibrant villages. For those with more extended holiday plans, the trek can be extended to the north towards the Langtang Valley. Alternatively, those with limited time can continue east to Nagarkot, a popular hill station known for its panoramic mountain views.

The adventure starts with a car ride from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, which takes approximately one hour. Sundarijal is a significant spot as it houses a large drinking water supply tank that provides water to the Kathmandu Valley. The trek begins here and leads through the charming village of Mula Kharka and into the dense forests of rhododendron and oak. The path offers ample opportunities to spot various wild animals native to the region. The first day concludes at Chisapani, situated at an altitude of 2,135 meters above sea level, where trekkers will spend the night.
