Day 1 Meet at Khare

Our adventure to climb Mera Peak will begin in Khare, and on the first day we will meet with the climbing specialists and prepare all of our climbing equipment. We’ll practise ice climbing today, however exactly what we do will depend on when we go. If there’s no ice at all, it would be substituted with simple trekking and gear-using skills. We’re going to walk and take in the beautiful beauty of Mera La. Our climbing specialists will advise you on how to climb and what not to do. Before heading back to our camp in Khare for the night, we will spend a few hours at the Glacier honing our skills.

Day 2 Khare to Base camp

Today we are going to Mera Peak Base Camp, which is 5,350 metres above sea level. In three or four hours, we should reach Mera Peak Base Camp, where we will make our camp for the night. We will be led across the moraine above Khare and pass through some stones on our way to Mera La pass, which is 5,415 metres high and rewards us with vistas of magical landscapes and breathtaking mountain scenarios. After that, we’ll keep moving towards the Base Camp while descending towards Hongu. We’ll find a good spot for you to camp, or you can choose to stay in a lodge.

Day 3 Trek To Mera High Camp

After breakfast on the third day, we will keep heading towards the 5,750-meter-high High Camp. It won’t take long to get to the High Camp—roughly four to five hours. We will have amazing views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Everest, and a few more magnificent peaks as we camp there for the remainder of our trip.

Day 4 Mera Peak Summit and Back to Khare

Khare To Mera Peak Climbing Route

The conventional path from the north requires hiking on glaciers at high altitudes. More difficult technical routes are available on the west and south slopes of the peak. 360-degree vistas of the Khumbu region’s peaks, including Makalu (8485m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Kangchenjunga (8586m), and Mount Everest (8848m), are available from the Mera Peak ascent.

Khare is where the Mera peak climbing begins. We’ll get together at Khare. On the same day, you will set up your hiking gear with the guide’s help.
