Luxury Everest Base Camp TrekDifficulty

The real difficulty of the Everest Base Camp Luxury trip depends depend on your fitness level and how well you adjust to the high altitude, even though it is categorised as a moderately tough trip. It takes 12 days to complete the hike, which involves many hours of hiking each day and an average elevation gain of 500 metres. The journey’s highest point is Kala Pathar, at 5,643 metres above sea level.

The largest challenge on the hike is the altitude. As you ascend, the air becomes thinner, which could make breathing more difficult. Altitude sickness is a common occurrence for trekkers and can cause headaches, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue. It’s important to acclimatise to the altitude completely by spending a few days at a lower altitude before moving up to higher heights.

More challenges are the trail’s rugged topography and erratic weather. The track has some steep and treacherous sections as well as numerous suspension bridges to cross. The weather in the Everest region is erratic and can snow at any time of year. It’s imperative to pack sensibly and have supplies for any weather condition.
