The drive will head towards Syabrubesiat at an altitude of 2,380 meters as it lies somewhat in a gorge-like terrain in between two hills. The breathtaking Himalayan views in the background are magnificent as the vehicle quickly crosses the paved highways. There are a ton of locals working away in their meticulously sculpted terraced farms and fields on the fringes of their settlements. Idealistically, we make a brief stop at the spectacular Trishuli Bazaar for a much-needed lunch before continuing on to Dhunche and then descending to Syabrubesi. However, the trip to Syabrubesi will touch heights of about 5000 meters when crossing hills to reach Syabrubesi. After 7 to 8 hours of driving, stay overnight there.
The following day, we embark on a strenuous walk that takes us through a thick forest and the Langtang Khola Valley before dropping us off at the Lama Hotel, which is situated at an elevation of 2560 metres. The Langtang National Park, which is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, is continuously visible to us. We soon reach an area bordered by vibrant rhododendrons and other vegetation as we go. We make a break here to tent at the old Lama Hotel. It is surrounded by a tranquil forest, making it the perfect destination for those who are passionate about the great outdoors. We walk for six to seven hours and spend the night at the Lama Hotel.
This morning’s duty involves climbing through rhododendron woods, which are home to a variety of species, including Musk Deer, Himalayan Thar, Ghoral, and Red Pandas, who are involved in the indifferent sound decibels of magnificent rivers and waterfalls. A beautiful location offering a wonderful chance to have a closer look at the fascinating Langtang Mountain range (7,200m). After being awed by this breathtaking vista, we get the opportunity to interact with the local Tamang villages and learn about their traditional practices and attitudes. The day is officially over after a 6 to 7 hours hike and stays overnight at Langtang Valley.
We come upon a mysterious sight of old prayer stones while walking, which are reputed to grant wishes. The villagers still depend on the traditional means of subsistence; they labour on farms and take care of domesticated animals on a daily basis. Grazing and herding yaks are the focal points of their lives. Everybody in the neighbourhood depends on it for their livelihood, and goods made there include butter and yak cheese. Another striking sight will be the Langtang glacier, which is located near Langtang Lirung. We go to the village of Kyanjin Gompa, which is our final destination on the hike. We discover a great deal about the distinctive monasteries and the peculiar Tamang culture. Stay the night in the Gompa in Kyanjin.
A day of exploration and acclimatisation in Kyanjin. We go to the cheese plant and the nearby Kyajin monastery. Proceed to climb Tsergo Ri, the highest peak on the route at 5033 metres, after that. Admire the splendour of the surrounding landscape as you gradually ascend. As you get closer to the peak, take in the breath-taking views of the Langtang ranges, Dorje Lakpa, Tserko ri Yala Peak Ganesh Himal, and other surrounding mountains. To preserve certain memories, snap some pictures. Before spending the night at Kyanjing, spend some time there.
Although the walk is somewhat long, it’s a pleasant one as it’s primarily downhill. Following a two-hour hike and a suspension bridge crossing, the trail descends through yak pastureland until it reaches Langtang, after which it ascends to Thangshyap. It takes about sixty minutes. You follow the track through the trees for another hour or so, stopping for lunch en route to Godatabela eher. After lunch, the road descends further to the Lama Hotel. Spend the night at the Hotel Lama.
If we follow the forest trail, it will take us around three hours to get to Pairo. After lunch, you skip the hike to Syabrubesi. The rocky hike to Thulo Syabru takes approximately two hours. Now, you can see the fine details of peaks like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and other Himalayas. In the evening, you can go on a tour of a monastery with your guide. Stay in the lodge for the night.
We leave Thulo Syabru and climb the Gosaikunda trail. The route is uphill for the most of the day. It will take two hours of climbing to reach Chandan Bari. Here, have a rest and explore the cheese factory. After two or three hours of climbing, you will finally reach Lauri Binayak.
The path from Lauri Binayak to Gosaikunda is really lovely. As we rise, we’ll be able to see the clouds below and the mountains rising above us. Up until you reach the Buddhist Gompa, the terrain becomes a little easier with regular ups and downs.
After some hiking, Saraswoti Kunda will be seen for the first time. Among the 108 lakes in the Gosaikunda area. We also investigate Bhairav Kunda and Naag Kunda. Finally, we will reach the Gosaikunda town along the lake. Gosaikunda is a spiritual place for pilgrims who practise Buddhism and Hinduism. Hundreds of pilgrims gather here to worship and have holy baths during the full moon in August. We walk for five or six hours and spend the night there.
Heading up the trail towards the northern part of Gosaikunda, we cross glacial moraines. We go across four small lakes to reach the Lauribina Pass (4610m). The path drops to Phedi and then, following a short rest stop at Lauribina Pass, descends to the stream. We then start our walk through the bamboo forest in order to reach the summit of the hill. Then we descend the rocky slope, which is covered with rhododendron and pine trees, to reach Ghopte. Spend the night there.
The track then joins Helambu’s other path, which proceeds to Kathmandu. The walk today is pleasant because it goes through an hour-long alpine woods. An further hour of hiking is required to reach Tharepati (3,597m). We will offer you lunch in Tharepati. Staying at Tharepati is worthwhile because of its stunning mountain vistas. From here, the trail descends for a few hours. There’s an Army barrack nearby and a grassy field, making it a nice place. The route continues through villages, farming, and a few areas with woods. After going for several hours, you will arrive at Kutumsang village (2,445m) and spend the night there.
Today’s climb from Kutumsang to Chisapani Danda (2195 metres) would take about 6-7 hours. It’s a pleasant walk. You’ll pass through a number of little farms. There might be some breathtaking vistas of the Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal-Manaslu, and Annapurna peaks. The northeast and west, respectively, are where these mountain ranges are situated. After climbing for a few more hours, you will reach Chisapani, where you will spend the night. The breathtaking views of the valleys below will make your stay here very unforgettable.
You will make one final journey today, walking to Sundarijal. Travelling to Sundarijal will take you through bucolic forests and farmlands. You will arrive at two breathtaking places, Burlang and Chepu Bhanjyang (2,438m), after several hours of hiking. From these mountains, you might get some beautiful views of the Kathmandu Valley. Eventually, after hiking for three hours, you will reach Sundarijal. You will cross the final set of stairs leading up to Sundarijal and arrive at the bus stop there. Here, a private car will greet you. It will take an hour by car to return to your lodging in Kathmandu.
You will lose at least 8-10 lbs

The walk across the Langtang region can be a little difficult. The routes are undeveloped, rough, and off the main trail. The multiple ascents and descents make trekking more challenging for hikers. The hike is particularly difficult because of the high heights, fluctuating temperatures, and lack of substantial facilities.
However, with the appropriate planning and assistance prior to the walk, this excursion in the Langtang region is achievable. We recommend that you start physical activities, such as working out, taking day walks, and getting physically ready, several months prior to starting the adventure. Also, undergo the necessary medical screenings before going on a high-altitude walk. You can totally depend on our guidance and assistance during the adventure.
Acclimatisation rest is necessary on a trek. Make good use of the days set aside for acclimatisation relaxation by touring the area and taking a few short hikes.
