9 days Everest Family Trekking

The Everest Family Trekking is a perfect way for families to bond and experience the stunning beauty of the Himalayas. With breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, this trek offers a unique blend of adventure and cultural immersion. The itinerary, designed to be easy and enjoyable for families, ensures that you experience the best of the Everest region without the need for strenuous trekking.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and a brief rest, we will organize a trip briefing and introduce you to your guide. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore Kathmandu or relax at your hotel. Thamel, a popular tourist hub, is a great place to stay, offering easy access to shops, restaurants, and other amenities. If you need a local mobile SIM card, it is available at the international airport.

The adventure begins on the second day with a scenic flight to Lukla, one of the most thrilling airport approaches in the world. The flight offers stunning views of the Himalayas, setting the tone for the rest of the journey. Upon arrival at Lukla, preparations for the trek begin. The first leg of the trek is a gentle descent to Phakding, passing through picturesque landscapes and crossing suspension bridges. Phakding is a lovely place to spend the night, with comfortable accommodations and the soothing sounds of the nearby river.

On the third day, the trek to Namche Bazaar begins. This part of the trek takes approximately five hours and includes a mix of ascents and descents. The trail passes through Benkar and Monjo, where permits are checked, and trekkers can rest. As you enter Sagarmatha National Park, you will trek through forests of blue pine, rhododendron, and cedar. The ascent to Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa settlement in the region, is challenging but rewarding, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

Day four involves a trek to Khumjung, a charming village at an altitude of 3,800 meters. The day starts with a visit to the Sherpa Museum in Namche Bazaar, where you can learn about the culture and history of the Sherpa people. The trail then leads to the Khumjung Ridge and the Everest View Hotel, offering some of the best views of Everest and its neighboring peaks. From the ridge, it is a descent to Khumjung village, where you can visit the local monastery and see the famous Yeti Skull. The village is also home to a school founded by Sir Edmund Hillary.

Day five is a rest day in Khumjung, allowing you to acclimatize and explore the village. The Khumjung Monastery and the school are must-see attractions, and the village itself offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. This is an excellent opportunity for the family to relax and enjoy the serene mountain environment.

10 days Everest Family Trekking

The trek continues on the sixth day with a descent to Manjo, passing back through Namche Bazaar. The trail leads down through the national park, offering the last views of the towering peaks. Manjo is a peaceful village where you can rest and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains.

Day seven takes you back to Lukla, following a familiar trail along the Dudh Khosi River. This final day of trekking is a chance to reflect on the journey and celebrate the adventure with the locals in Lukla. The village often hosts friendly farewell events, providing a memorable conclusion to the trekking experience.

The eighth day involves an early flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax or explore the city. Kathmandu offers a wealth of cultural and historical sites, including the famous Thamel district, where you can shop for souvenirs or enjoy local cuisine.

On the ninth day, after breakfast and hotel check-out, our representative will transfer you to the international airport, ensuring you arrive in plenty of time for your departure. This marks the end of a remarkable family adventure in the heart of the Himalayas.

This family trekking package includes several essential services to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. These services include pick-up and drop-off from international and domestic airports by private car, van, or bus. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided during the trekking, with accommodations offering attached bathrooms every night. An experienced English-speaking guide will accompany you, and their food, accommodation, salary, equipment, and insurance are covered. Round-trip flight tickets from Kathmandu to Lukla are included, along with necessary trekking permits and TIMS permits. Additionally, government taxes, a trekking map, domestic airport departure tax, down jackets, sleeping bags (if needed), a carry bag (optional), and purified drinkable water are provided.

Certain expenses are not included in the package, such as hotel accommodations in Kathmandu, soft and hard drinks, bar bills, tips and donations, and temple and monastery entrance fees while sightseeing in Kathmandu.
