On the first day of your walk, our representatives will meet you at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport. As soon as you exit the gate, we will be holding your name plate with the Nepal Trek and Adventures emblem.
Our team members will then transport you to your accommodation by our own tourist bus. Once you arrive at the hotel and freshen up, we will hold a quick pre-trip meeting to provide you with a brief overview and schedule of events for the next few days.
During the pre-trip meeting, you will meet with your trip guide and can ask any questions you may have about your Annapurna circuit trek. Please be aware that if you arrive in Kathmandu before 4 p.m., the pre-trip meeting will be place at our headquarters in Thamel.
However, if you come later in the evening, our representative will meet you at the hotel. If you arrive early and have the remainder of the evening free, you can tour Kathmandu and Thamel. This is an excellent opportunity to shop around and purchase necessities for your journey.
On the second day of your Annapurna base camp hike, we will explore Kathmandu before flying to Pokhara in the evening.
Today, you will see some of the most popular places in the Kathmandu Valley. We will visit significant historical sites designated by UNESCO. We will take you to Boudhanath Stupa, Swyambhunath, Patan Durbar Squares, and Pashupatinath Temple.
You can always find time to enjoy the numerous other attractions Kathmandu has to offer. Following an exciting day of touring in Kathmandu, we will go to the airport and board an evening flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is around 25 minutes away from Kathmandu. After arriving in Pokhara, we will drop you off at your hotel.
On the third day of your Annpaurna base camp trek with helicopter return, we will travel from Pokhara to Nayapul. Our team will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning in our private tourist transportation.
Nayapul is approximately an hour’s drive from Pokhara. Throughout the journey, you will pass by several settlements, hills, and rivers. Along the trip, you’ll catch glimpses of the Himalayas. We will trek to Ulleri after you have arrived in Nayapul.
Ulleri is around a 5 to 6 hour journey from Nayapul. During the walk, you will pass through several communities, including Birethanti and Tikhedhunga. The trail from Nayapul follows the Bhurungdi Khola upstream, which is wide and rather flat.
Throughout the journey, you’ll pass through beautiful forests, quaint tea houses, and little villages. As you climb higher, you’ll pass into Ulleri. The terraced fields, ancient buildings, and panoramic vistas will make this a fascinating journey.
On the fourth day of your Annapurna base camp with helicopter return, we will trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani. We’ll leave Ulleri after breakfast.
The route begins at Ulleri and climbs smoothly, unlike the well-known Ulleri Steps. You follow the path through lush woodlands surrounded by tall trees. The bright hues of flowering rhododendron flowers, a distinguishing feature of the area, will be seen as you hike, especially in the spring.
After a few hours of walking, you will arrive at Nangethanti, which is located at an elevation of around 2,460 meters (8,071 feet). Nagethanti provides quiet, nestled among lush foliage, making it a great site for a brief rest and relaxation.
After a few more hours of walking, you will arrive in Ghorepani, a lovely town located at an elevation of around 2,850 meters (9,350 feet). Ghorepani is known for its friendly locals, and there are numerous lodges, teahouses, and trekking options to pick from.
On the fifth day of your helicopter ride to Annapurna base camp, we will trek from Ghorepani to Chuile after breakfast.
After a few hours of hiking through a verdant forest, you will arrive at Chuile. The routes provide views of Annapurna South and Fish Tail. Throughout the journey, you will catch vistas of the Himalayas, including Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Gangapurna.
You will also come across several villages, including Ban Thanti and Tadapani. You might take a few minutes to recover at Tadapani before continuing your walk.
Chuile is a little village with simple lodges. You will spend the night at Chuile.
On the sixth day of your ABC trek with helicopter return, we will hike from Chuile to Sinuwa after breakfast. It takes approximately 6 hours from Chuile to Sinuwa.
There are stone stairs on the way up and down from Chule to Sinuwa. We will arrive in Gurjung village after going downhill for about forty minutes from Chuile and over a suspension bridge.
From there, it will take us another hour and a half to reach Chhomrongdanda and then directly to Chhorong village, a huge Gurung settlement. With beautiful views of Mt. Fishatil, South Annapurna, and Hiunchuli, it is a cultural village. After lunch, we’ll walk for another two hours to our goal for the day, Sinuwa.
On the seventh day of our walk, we will go from Sinuwa to Deurali. Walking between Sinuwa and Deurali will be difficult.
Today, we’ll walk for seven or eight hours to arrive to our destination. It’s a lengthier journey than the previous days. Despite the long distance, the walking trail provides plenty of stunning views, green forests, and rivers. As you continue, Mount Annapurna will become more visible.
We’ll visit the village of Bamboo. The hamlet earned its name from the dense bamboo forests that surround it. Our road to Dovan will take us through Bamboo Village. We’ll arrive at 3200 meters in Deurali following Dovan.
Finally, on the eighth day of our walk, we will arrive at our base camp, which is located at an elevation of 4130 meters. We’ll be going uphill at high altitude, so the hike will be difficult.
At this high elevation, the danger of altitude sickness increases. We will leave Deurali early in the morning after a light breakfast. The majority of our trek will be through desolate landscape with no trees and dry air. Some hikers say that traveling through this type of meadowland at high altitudes is tough.
After a difficult climb, we will arrive at Machhapuchhre’s base camp at 3700 meters.During your adventure at MBC, you will be astounded to see multiple massive waterfalls. Enjoy the amazing views from Fishtail Mountain, commonly known as Mount Machhapuchhre.
We will continue our walk to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) after lunch at Machhapuchhre Base Camp. We will climb for about 4 to 5 hours to reach Annapurna Base Camp. There will be a cool air on your stroll from MBC to ABC, so dress warmly.
When you get at Base Camp, which is located at an elevation of 4130 meters, you will understand the importance of this arduous walk. Take in the expansive views of some of the world’s largest mountain ranges, including Mount Machhapuchhre and Mount Annapurna.
There will be colorful prayer flags flying to the rhythm of the wind. We’ll relax until the next day after taking in the breathtaking vista from the top of the Himalaya.
On Day 9 of the Annapurna base camp hike, which includes a helicopter return, we have a “buffer day.” This serves as a safety net, allowing us to adjust our plans based on the ever-changing conditions in the Himalayas. If all goes as planned, we’ll be able to spend more time exploring Annapurna Base Camp.
This buffer day is intended to help us deal with any unexpected obstacles we may encounter during the walk, such as inclement weather or challenging terrain. Our trekkers’ safety and well-being are our first priority.
If all goes well, the day might be an excellent opportunity to relax, enjoy the breathtaking scenery, and spend more time at Annapurna Base Camp. On the other side, if we need to change our plans, this extra day offers us the freedom to do so without jeopardizing anyone’s safety.
On this day, you’ll say goodbye to the spectacular Annapurna Base Camp and prepare for a thrilling helicopter flight back to Pokhara. As you take off, you’ll be greeted to panoramic views of the famous Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, with their snow-capped peaks and rough beauty.
The helicopter ride is short but packed with breathtaking vistas that capture the heart of the trekking experience. When you arrive in Pokhara, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your incredible adventure.
We’ll get up early on this day to see the dawn and the breathtaking mountain views from Sarangkot, a popular Pokhara viewpoint.
It offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna Range, Himchuli, Annapurna South, and Annapurna III.
After a few hours at the viewpoint (Sarangkot), you will return to your accommodation for breakfast. After breakfast, we’re going to go sightseeing. You will go to sights like the Mahendra Cave, the Seti River Gorge, and the Mountain Museum.
You’ll be visiting the Peace Pagoda, which sits on a hill. You will be able to enjoy some spectacular sunset views from this excellent location. In the evening, we will travel to Pokhara International Airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
Our team member will return you to Tribhuvan International Airport’s international terminal.
We wish you farewell and hope to see you soon!

The optimum seasons for the Annapurna flyout trek are spring (March to May) and fall (September to November). Here is more information about both of these seasons.
Spring Season
The spring season lasts from March until May. During this season, the route is consistent, the flowers bloom lavishly, the rivers swell and make stunning cascades, and the temperatures are reasonable.
Trekking at this season provides excellent vistas, and the sky is clearer in the spring; yet, fog may occasionally appear at lower levels. The trekking route becomes congested because it is one of the busiest seasons for trekking in the Annapurna region.
During the day, temperatures range from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F) at the lower elevations and 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F) in the higher elevations. However, nights can still be chilly, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 10°C (41°F to 50°F) in the lower elevations and -5°C to -15°C (23°F to 5°F) in the higher elevations.
Autumn Season
The Annapurna base camp trip with helicopter return is also excellent during the autumn season, which runs from September to November. During this season, the routes are no longer little rivers, the days are warm, and visibility is good.
Autumn is one of the safest seasons for hiking to the Annapurna Circuit due to cooler temperatures, less mud on the mountainsides, a lower risk of avalanches, and well-packed trails.
During the day, temperatures range from 12-21°C (54-70°F) in the lower elevations to 5-12°C (41-54°F) in the upper elevations. However, nights can still be cold, with temperatures ranging from 7-12°C (45-54°F) at the lower elevations to 0-5°C (32-41°F) in the upper elevations.
Permits are necessary to enter the Annapurna region. For your ABC trek with helicopter return, you’ll need two major permits: the Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) and the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit.
Please keep in mind that we have included the fees for these permits in our price, and our team members will obtain them for you so that your journey runs smoothly and without incident. Here is some quick information on these permits.
TIMS, or alias, improves the safety of all trekkers in Nepal. Your name and travel itinerary will be entered into the system as soon as the fee is paid. This permission will enable local authorities prepare sustainability activities in specific locations, as well as rescue operations in the event of an emergency during your walk.
A TIMS card is necessary for almost all treks in Nepal, not just the Annapurna Circuit. To obtain your TIMS card, we need a photocopy of your passport and two passport-sized photographs. A TIMS card costs NPR 2,000, which is comparable to $17 USD.
This permission was established expressly for the Annapurna region. The permission and the fee help to conserve the place. To obtain an ACAP permit, you will need your passport and two additional passport photos.
To obtain your ACAP, you must complete out a form with information about your insurance, anticipated hiking route, and itinerary. ACAP costs NPR 3,000, which is similar to $30 USD.
When picking accomodation, we prioritize our trekkers’ comfort and security. The tea houses chosen for this 12-day Annapurna base camp hike with helicopter return are more upscale than the ordinary teahouse. Although most rooms are meant for twin sharing, our guides will arrange rooms based on gender.
Please let us know ahead of time if you will be traveling as a couple or if you prefer private lodgings within a group, and we will make the necessary arrangements to fulfill your requirements.
We have arranged for two days of twin-sharing accommodation in Kathmandu at a 4-star hotel such as Hotel Ramada and two nights in Pokhara at 4-star hotels such as Hotel Bodhi Suites, Hotel Landmark, and comparable hotels. The last 8 days will be spent at tea houses along your route to the base camp.
Teahouses are cheap lodgings that provide minimal lodging and meal services. Typically, the rooms lack private toilets and power, although they typically provide twin beds, pillows, and blankets. Showers and toilets are frequently shared in tea shops. On the other hand, some tea establishments have squat toilets, whereas others have western-style facilities.
The majority of teahouses provide both regional and western cuisine, including as spaghetti, momos (dumplings), and dal bhat (lentil soup with rice). There may be a little payment for this service, however hot water is available for drinking and bathing. While some teahouses offer Wi-Fi, it is often unstable and slow.
We will take care of your accommodations so that you may relax after each day of trekking. You’ll stay in pleasant lodges along the road, where you can relax, eat warm meals, and get a good night’s rest. So you don’t have to worry about finding a place to stay; everything is planned for your convenience throughout this incredible vacation.
The moderate to difficult ABC hike with helicopter return is best suited for people who have some hiking experience and are in good shape. The following are some of the things that may make your journey a little difficult:
Despite the fact that these problems may arise during the walk, we will do our utmost to assure your safety and comfort.
Our trek package includes 9 breakfasts, 9 lunches, and 9 dinners, as well as a farewell meal. Please keep in mind that any additional food and beverages consumed during your walk will not be charged to us.
The food on your walk is varied and enjoyable, providing the energy needed for long and strenuous hikes. Teahouses and lodges dot the route, serving a variety of local and international cuisines.
Traditional Nepalese cuisine includes staples like dal bhat (rice and lentil soup), momos (steamed dumplings), and thukpa (noodle soup), which provide a familiar taste of the region.
Trekkers can also enjoy hearty meals such as eggs, toast, oatmeal, and pancakes, which provide a nutritious start to the day. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and locally grown goods are also available, offering a refreshing and healthful alternative for those looking for a lighter dinner.
Trekkers can enjoy their meals while taking in the breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna mountain range, making for a unique dining experience on this incredible journey.
When organizing this heli return trip, it is critical to consider travel insurance. Travel insurance serves as a safety net, protecting you from unexpected scenarios. It can cover trip cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, medical crises during the journey, and even missing luggage.
Having travel insurance ensures that you are financially prepared and well taken care of if something goes wrong during your trip. It’s a wise decision to make your Annapurna base camp heli trip experience not only memorable, but also stress-free. Here are some of the advantages of obtaining travel insurance for the expedition.
