Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel. The day is at your leisure, allowing you time to relax and settle into your accommodation. Kathmandu, a city rich in cultural and historical significance, will serve as the starting point for your exploration of Nepal.
The following morning, embark on a thrilling mountain flight, offering unparalleled views of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Everest. This unique experience provides a stunning aerial perspective of Nepalβs majestic landscapes. After the flight, engage in a walking tour of old Kathmandu, tracing the historic path across the Vishnumati River to the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. This ancient site offers panoramic views of the city and is a key religious landmark in Kathmandu. In the afternoon, visit Pashupatinath Temple, a significant Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its spiritual ambiance and vibrant rituals. Continue to Bodhnath Stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, renowned for its serene atmosphere and the massive mandala that surrounds it. These sites will immerse you in the rich tapestry of Nepalese religious and cultural traditions.
On the third day, take a drive south to Dakshinkali Temple, a sacred site dedicated to the goddess Kali, famous for its rituals and vibrant ceremonies. From there, head to Pharping village, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Continue to the traditional Newari villages of Bungmati and Khokana. The Newars, with their distinct Tibeto-Burman heritage, are known for their vibrant cultural practices, commerce, and farming. These villages offer a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle and architectural beauty of the Newar community.
The next day, embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara, a picturesque city located in central Nepal. This drive, covering approximately 200 kilometers and taking around six hours, offers breathtaking views of the countryside as you leave behind the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu for the serene landscapes of Pokhara. Once in Pokhara, the afternoon is free for you to relax and enjoy the city at your own pace.
Day five is dedicated to a day hike to Sarangkot Village. This hike provides stunning views of the surrounding Himalayas and offers a tranquil experience away from the city. The panoramic vistas from Sarangkot are renowned for their beauty, making it a highlight of the tour.
On the sixth day, explore the diverse attractions of Pokhara. Start with a sightseeing tour of the city and its bustling bazaars. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, where you can visit the Barahi Temple situated on an island in the lake. The serene environment and picturesque setting of Pokhara provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection.
The next morning, drive to Tansen, a charming hill town in western Nepal. The journey, approximately 80 kilometers and taking about four hours, will reveal the beauty of rural Nepal. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring this quaint town. Tansen is known for its traditional architecture and vibrant local culture.
Day eight offers a full day to explore Tansen. You can opt for a hiking trip to Ranighat, a historic palace situated on the banks of the Kaligandaki River, or spend the day exploring Tansenβs colorful bazaars and local attractions. The townβs traditional crafts and bustling market scenes offer a glimpse into the local way of life.
On the ninth day, drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. This sacred site is an important pilgrimage destination and provides a peaceful setting for reflection and exploration. After visiting Lumbini, continue your journey to Royal Chitwan National Park. Check into your resort and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Day ten is dedicated to a full day of jungle safari activities in Chitwan National Park. Experience a range of activities including an elephant back safari, nature walk, canoe ride, and bird watching. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including rhinoceroses, deer, and the elusive Bengal tiger, offering a thrilling adventure in the heart of nature. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance showcasing traditional Tharu dance and music.
On the eleventh day, rise early for a final bird watching session and a last elephant safari before driving back to Kathmandu. The journey offers scenic views of the countryside and an opportunity to reflect on the diverse experiences of your tour. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the rest of the day is free for shopping or relaxing.
The tour concludes on the twelfth day, with time at your leisure before your flight. We will provide a private transfer to the airport, ensuring a smooth departure.
