Island Peak Climbing and EBC

The most popular trekking mountain in Nepal is Island mountain. Climbing an island mountain beside Everest base camp is an amazing and thrilling adventure. Island Peak is known locally as Imja Tse. It is a solitary peak located at an elevation of 6189 metres (20,305 feet) above sea level in the Chhukung valley. Situated between the Imja and Mount Lhotse glaciers, this mountain is actually an extension of Mount Lhotse Shar. There is one exposed, steep 100-meter ice or snow climb, and one easy snow climb. The enormous south face of Mt. Lhotse (8,501 m), Nuptse (7,879 m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410 m), and Lhotse Shar (8,383 m) in the north, Mt. Makalu (8475 m), and Mt. Amadablam (685 6 m) in the east, as well as a breathtaking panoramic view of the Khumbu region and Chhukung valley, can all be seen from this peak as you ascend.

After leaving Kathmandu with the appropriate permit, the journey begins with a quick flight to Lukla. From there, it continues higher to the charming villages of Namche-Thyangboche-Pheriche, where you may see monasteries and learn about the fascinating Buddhist lifestyles of the Sherpa people. After that, we walk first to Kalapathar and Everest Base Camp before continuing on to the Chhukung Valley and beginning our excursion or climbing. It is not required to have formal or highly experienced climbing training in order to climb this peak. Any hiker in decent physical condition can complete the task with ease and success. Before the ascent, this amazing journey includes a visit to Kalapatthar and Everest Base Camp, providing us adequate acclimatisation and many rest days for preparation.

Strong mountaineering abilities are essential for climbers to have a successful summit excursion. Although autumn and spring are often the optimum seasons to climb this peak, RT Adventure can create a personalised Nepal peak climbing service based on the needs and schedules of individual mountaineers.

However, ten people is seen to be the ideal group size. But, RT can also set this up if your group numbers more than ten.
