The 13-day Tamang Heritage Trek takes hikers through the Tamang communities in Nepal’s Langtang Valley. This walk provides a special chance to immerse oneself in the rich culture, distinctive customs, and way of life of the Tamang people in the stunning Langtang region.
You will immerse yourself in Nepal’s verdant landscapes throughout our 13-day journey, taking in the Himalayas’ breathtaking natural splendour and the vibrant local cultures.
You may explore real Tamang villages along the Tamang Heritage Trekking Trail, where you can see the preservation of centuries-old customs, culture, and handicrafts. You will experience the outdoors in addition to the cultural immersion, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of rhododendron forests, open meadows, and mountain panoramas.

After a gorgeous drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi, we begin our 13-day Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking with a walk to Gatlang. You will be able to see the holy Parvati Kunda Lake and the Tamang monastery in Gatlang.
Then, from Gatlang, we travel to Tatopani, where the people say the hot spring waters have therapeutic properties. Our next stop is Thuman, which is renowned for its enormous grasslands and breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas.
We head down the old trade route from Thuman to Briddim, which is only three hours away from Tibet. In Briddim, the Tamang people coexist peacefully in close quarters. Then, we walk down the well-known Langtang Valley trail from Briddim to the Lama settlement. The track meanders through stunning woodlands, and we might even glimpse red pandas in the wild along the way.
The following day, we will climb to Tserko Ri, also known as Kyanjin ri, and visit Kyanjin Gompa. Ultimately, we will return to Thulo Syabru early in the morning after leaving the Rimche.We will return to Kathmandu by bus the next day, capping off an amazing trek via the Langtang Valley and Tamang Heritage Trail.
