We will leave Kathmandu for Chamje early in the morning after eating breakfast. The first part of our Tilicho Lake Trek begins in Chamje. The elevation of Chamje is 1311 metres; your guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you there from Kathmandu. It takes about eight or nine hours to get there. Decent on Rock Street is the best way to get to Chamje. While travelling, one can take in the splendour of the natural world, some slightly different types of plants, a variety of people and societies, and a comfortable trip. Following our arrival, we will stay at the accommodation, enjoy some delicious Nepalese food, and relax.
The trail experiences little towns, past the cascades and farmlands. Over the stream beneath the Chamje Village, a climb by means of immerse zones takes you to Tal Village. The trail proceeds through the grain, rice, potato fields and pine woodlands past the town of Khotro (1860m). Dive to a woods to a long suspension bridge connecting exceptionally the charming yards of Alpine. At that point comes the Manang region; past the Kodo Village, making a few climbs and plummets, the trail takes you to Dharapani. It is one of the biggest towns in this region. We will stay overnight there and start our journey tomorrow.
Breakfasting in the morning after waking up. From Dharapani to Chame, you will trek. The Dharapani to Danakyu path is a good, easy hike.Stroll through blue pine, spruce, hemlock, maple, and oak woodlands to Bagarchhap (2160m). From Bagarchhap, you will get the first look at Annapurna II.Staying on the south bank of the creek, the trail passes through forests and arrives at Danaque (2210m), a valley filled with apple plantations. From Timang, you will obtain a respectable view of Mt. Manaslu and surrounding peaks. Through the chock, the trail descends from Timang to Chame. Trekking takes five to six hours from Dharapani to Chame. The elevation of the Chame is 2670 metres. The Chame is the official Manang region headquarters. There is a public hot spring nearby. We are going to spend the night in a hotel.
We will eat our breakfast and get ready before starting the walk to Pisang. The path that leads from Chame to Bhratang is above average. You will have a strenuous trek from Bhratang to Dhukur Pokhari. Pokhari appears to see a number of mountains from Dhukur, including Annapurna II, Pisang Top, Chula Peak, Tilicho Peak, and many more. From Dhukur Pokhari, the trail descends gradually till Pisang. It takes 5–6 hours to trek from Chame to Pisang. Along the trip, a hiker will observe beautiful forests, animals, birds of prey, and kind people. The trek goes through a deep canyon and is a lengthy, largely point trip through woodlands with some breathtaking views. The traveller will eat some delectable Nepali cuisine and then retire to Pisang.
From Pisang, it takes about 6-7 hours to get to Manang. This walk heads into pine furrows from upper Pisang to reveal views of the small turquoise lake. The walk finishes with a dogleg through the picturesque village, passing by viewpoints of painted Mandalas and gushing mythological beast mouths. Scale the yak-eating fields and discover a multitude of harvests. To reach Ngawal (3660m), the trail climbs a lofty edge on the right half of the Marsyangdi River; yet, this is one of the most amazing survey points for the entire Annapurna Ridge and the Marsyangdi waterway valley view. While travelling, we pass villages like Braga, pine timberlands, and porches being cultivated. The significant Tibetan town of Manang offers excellent views of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, and IV, as well as the trekking peaks at 3570 metres. Trekker intends to spend the night there.
We will travel to the Khangsar today after getting ready and eating breakfast. After Manang, this town is the final one. Khangsar is a collection of traditional stone buildings encircling a spacious town square. A small religious community affiliated with Sakyapa School is located near the town’s highest point. This settlement is en route to Mesokunda Pass or Tilicho Lake, the highest lake in the world. It’s an immaculate historic town. You will arrive at Khangsar Village after crossing the divider and the Khangsar River. The trip is not too long. It will take you about 4 hours to get from Manang to Khangsar. You will enjoy delectable regional cuisine while spending the night at Khangsar Village.
The trail climbs sharply past the Gompa and small chortens from Khangsar. There are brambles of ocean buckthorn and juniper along the trail. Little valuable stones and shrubs that line both sides of the trail provide excellent security for the route. There are a few streams that you cross on the walk. After an exhausting climb, you reach a top (4650m) with a prayer and then descend a series of switchbacks down a steep incline that takes you to the Tilicho Base Camp Hotel. You can enjoy the more expansive and up-close views of Tilicho Mountain and many other nearby mountains from this location. We pitched a tent here today at low tide because Tilicho Lake is situated at the highest point.
We will go to Tilicho Lake today, which is the trek’s primary destination. The trail winds through icy moraines, providing views of Khangsar Peak, Muktinath, Tilicho, and Mount Nilgiri. When you get close to the lake, it won’t take more than a few minutes to enjoy the view of such a beautiful lake. The lake is also known as the “Frozen Lake” since it remains frozen for the most part of the year. You can take a lot of photos of the surrounding scenery. You will come back to the Tilicho Base Camp after some time spent here, filled with the memories you formed there in Tilicho Lake.
Today, after completing the excellent walk on the highest lake in the world, we will start our descent to Yak Kharka. After waking up and breakfast, we will walk down a short trail to Sri Kharka and continue walking today along the Marsyangdi River. The trail continues as it leaves the Marsyangdi Valley behind. The trail follows this valley north, passing a Goths along the way as it steadily ascends. You’ve removed the large trees below; the foliage is now just tall grasses and clean juniper. Watching big yaks snorting at Yak Kharka is hilarious. It’s a terrific perspective on Annapurna III. Yak Kharka will be your overnight stay.
Following a brief stroll, the path intersects with a suspended bridge, which is crossed by Ledar Village. There is a strenuous climb that leads through the amazing cliff faces of the Thorang Phedi. Because ‘Phedi’ denotes lower section, it is named after Thorong La Pass; thus, Thorang Phedi is located at the lower region of Thorong La Pass. You presumably get the best views of Gundang, Thorong Peak, Khatungkan, and Mt. Syagang. At Thorang Phedi, blue mountain sheep herds can occasionally be seen. It’s a lovely location as well. You’ll head to bed after arriving and enjoying a filling dinner.
Today, we will travel to Thorong La Passes after rising early and feeling eager to begin our adventure. One of the world’s highest routes is Thorong La Pass. It is the hardest day of our trekking, but it is also the most unusual. With the intention of reaching Thorang La by 9 or 10 am, we will set off on our journey early in the morning, at about 4 am. In the unlikely event that we postpone it, the weather might cause some issues. The ascent will be tough but manageable. Nonetheless, there may be some problems due to the strong winds and the massive snowfall in the area. At last, we shall reach the highest point of Thorang La Pass, which is distinguished by the petition banners and chortens. From here, you can also enjoy amazing views. After that, it takes a another four hours to reach Muktinath, the heavenly location. Muktinath is a popular destination for devotees of Buddhism and Hinduism. It is said that after visiting this supposedly hallowed location, you will be released from all of your pains and sufferings. Around the sanctuary, there are 108 waterspouts where you can wash. The incredible flame is also visible. You will spend the night in the hotel there.
Reawakening in a sacred location such as Muktinath will fill you with gratitude. After eating breakfast, we will head to the temple where we will receive several blessings before continuing on to Jomsom. We will travel via numerous historic caves, breathtaking mountains, and stupas on our route to Jomsom. To go to Jomsom, we’ll take the Kagbeni or Lupra trail. We will walk to Jomsom today along the Kali Gandaki River. Nestled in a high valley, Jomsom is a solid, breezy little town. You can obtain terrifyingly significant vantage points of Tilicho Mountain and delightfully moist hills. Jomsom is renowned for its apples and other apple-based products. This windy village of Jomsom is where we will spend the night.
We will go to the Jomsom Airport to get a flight to Pokhara after waking up early and eating breakfast. Flying from Jomsom to Pokhara will take you around 25 to 30 minutes, during which time you can take in the breathtaking views of this gorgeous lake city. You will take another flight to get to Kathmandu after arriving in Pokhara. Additionally, travelling from Pokhara to The Capital City, Kathmandu, will take 20 to 25 minutes. Our agent will drop you off at the international airport and ensure your trip home is safe. We also hope to see you soon.
